NEW!!! PUP YOGA and COLOR RUN ADDED for 2018!
NEW LOCATION at the James D. Martin Wildlife Center and Dog Park (behind Gadsden Mall)
Anyone & everyone is allowed to run, walk, skip, or dance down on this popular fun run for families.
The fifth annual TUTU2K takes place October 18th at 6 PM with an all new location at the James D. Wildlife Park in Gadsden. New to the fun run is the addition of a Pup Yoga session in the newly installed dog park. With online registration, runners/walkers can enjoy a fun pup yoga stretch session with their dogs led by DDC faculty, Krystin Baird, along with mascot Irish Wolfhounds Khaleesi and Drogo McRae. The tutu fun fun has also added a “color run” to the event with participants celebrating a larger than life party equipped with music and color throws, creating a myriad of vivid color combinations. The TUTU2K is open to all ages and abilities. Participants may run or walk. The only requirement is that ALL participants must wear a tutu! No tutu? No problem! You can borrow one from your favorite ballerina, make your own, or purchase at the event.
Awards given for winners and door prize drawings for participants.
The annual TUTU2K each fall is a fun run fundraiser to benefit the programs and travels of the Downtown Dance Conservatory. The DDC, planted in the heart of Downtown Gadsden, serves as the largest classical ballet and contemporary dance education facility in North Alabama.
Funds raised will directly benefit the students and the facilities of the Downtown Dance Conservatory.
