    NatureQuest
We are excited to introduce our new program, NatureQuest. Have you ever wondered how a turtle could hide in it's shell; if a snake has a backbone; or how fast an alligator can actually run? If so then this program is for you. Together we will explore the animal kingdom.
We will take a walk on the wild side of Alabama, as we discover the animals in your very own backyard. Imagination Place educators will guide you on a fun and educational adventure! Children will be introduced to ‘The Great Outdoors' through books, live animal encounters, demonstrations, hands-on activities, arts and crafts, games, scavenger hunts and fun explorations . You could feel a snake slither, look a turtle in the eye, or hold the world's largest egg. This program can be geared for any age or level. You can schedule a trip to Imagination Place, meet us at the wildlife park or we could bring the adventure to you through our outreach program. For more information or to book your program today, call 543-2787 ext. 23

    Water Conservation Links for educators

    • EPA’s "Growth and Water Resources" Training Module Available Online

A new online, distance learning training module called “Growth and Water Resources” is available on EPA's Watershed Academy Web at: http://www.epa.gov/watertrain/smartgrowth/.

Developed by EPA’s Office of Wetlands, Oceans and Watersheds Smart Growth Team, the training module explains how changes in land use affect water resources, and presents national data on trends in development patterns and activities on land that have become increasingly significant challenges for achieving water quality standards. The module describes a combination of approaches to accommodate future growth in a way that benefits the economy and the environment and will help us meet out water resource goals. The module also includes a “tools” section with links to online resources.
