Butterfly Houses
James D. Martin Wildlife Park

As part of a project of the 21st Century Community Learning Programs, students from Walnut Park, Floyd, and Striplin Elementary Schools built butterfly houses for the newly renovated James D. Martin Wildlife Park. Below are some pictures from the project in which children were able to create the habitats, paint them, and even help install them. Click the images for larger versions.

Water Cleanliness

Below are photos featuring students of Floyd Elementary School participating in 21st Century's Water Cleanliness field trip. Students marked approximately 25 drains and gave out about 200 door hangers in the downtown areas of Gadsden (between South 6th street and Turrentine/Walnut and Randall).
