One-on-one guitar lessons with instructor Robert Johnston, author of the “Hello Guitar” series, are customized to meet your individual musical goals and needs. Whether you want to learn to strum a few of your favourite tunes, or solo like a pro, you will learn all of the tools to help you get started and the skills to take your playing to the next level. Advanced students will have the option of participating in the end-of-summer student recital.
Blues Guitar Workshop – 75$/two days of 2&1/2 hour sessions
July/August
In this two-day workshop, you’ll learn everything from the basic foundations of blues guitar playing to the secrets of the blues guitar masters. Through understanding five simple positions on the guitar, you’ll pick up the tools that will allow you to play the blues in any key. The blues guitar workshop will include participation in a half-hour jam along session. As a bonus, each participant will receive a free copy of the blues guitar workbook written by instructor Robert Johnston.
Song-Writing Guitar Workshop – 75$/two days of 2&1/2 hour sessions
July/August
In this two-day workshop, you’ll learn just how easy it can be to create your own chord progression and add your own lyrics to create your own songs. Through learning a simple note wheel method of writing music, you’ll develop all the right tools to get a grasp on the thought process behind music and make it your own. As a bonus, each participant will receive a free copy of the guitar instruction book “Hello Guitar”, written by guitar instructor Robert Johnston
