Imagination Place is holding an art contest in conjunction with the Super Kids Save the World exhibit!
Go through your old toys and recycling bin to come up with a fantastic new art creation! Use your imagination to transform old unwanted items into something new! You may use anything you have on hand: paper tubes, cans, yarn, magazines, etc.
Rules: The piece must be made of primarily recyclable materials measuring no larger than 24”x24”x 24”. Please make sure there are no sharp edges and that there is no food residue. The contest is open to: Pre-K through 5th grade classes, businesses, and organizations.
Entries should be dropped off at the Mary G. Hardin Center for Cultural Arts no later than Wednesday, March 15th.
Entries will go on display Friday, March 17th and will be on display for the duration of our Super Kids Save the World on May 14.
The winner will receive a field trip for their class. The winning business/organization can choose a class from a school of their choice to give a field trip to. The winning class must be an elementary school class (up to 40 students) and must use the field trip before May 14, 2017. Transportation is not included and is the responsibility of the winning school. Bus drivers and teachers will be admitted free with the class, but parents must pay the usual admission of $8 per person.
The winner will be announced on Friday, March 31st and noon via Imagination Place’s Facebook page.
