Etowah Youth Orchestras

2010-2011 Auditions

Auditions for the 2010-2011 season of the Etowah Youth Orchestras will be held in Symphony Hall at the Hardin Center on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, May 25-27.

The EYO will be auditioning for open seats in the Etowah Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Etowah Symphonic Wind Ensemble, the Etowah String Philharmonic, and the June Moore Bugg Prelude Strings.

Auditions are open to all students with at least one year of experience performing on a string instrument, or two years of experience performing on a wind, brass, or percussion instrument.  Information regarding specific openings in the EYO ensembles will be available after April 1.

Students wishing to audition for membership in the EYO ensembles may contact the EYO offices after April 1 to register for an audition and receive audition materials.  Auditions consist of major scales, sight reading, and a prepared excerpt for each instrument that is specific to the ensemble for which the student will be auditioning.
