Imagination Place is pleased to present The Book Lady on the first Saturday each month. The Book Lady reads to children and brings stories to life. Each session will also include an activity or demonstration. Our Saturday Book Lady programs are free with regular admission ($8 per person, free for children under 24 months, and free for our members).
The Book Lady programs begin at 11 am.
Saturday March 3rd: Reader’s Theater: Gertrude McFuzz
We’ll present a live-action performance of Gertrude McFuzz. This story recounts the tale of the “girl-bird,” who has one small, plain tail feather and wants big, bright, colorful tail feathers like the popular bird Lolla Lee Lou.
Saturday April 7th: Where the Wild Things Are
Max’s bedroom undergoes a mysterious transformation into a jungle environment, and he winds up sailing to an island inhabited by creatures known as the “Wild Things.” Max becomes king of the Wild Things, and though he is enjoying his new role as king and his new friends, he starts to feel lonely and wants to return home.
Saturday May 5th: Cinco De Mayo Celebration with the Book Lady
Learn about the Mexican celebration Cinco De Mayo with maraca making, music, dancing, and chips and salsa!
